Thanks for another great issue, Skye. My only question is: who is the Greg to Golis' Tom, and did you check his office for a folder marked "secret"?

Omg I might actually know who the Greg is!

If WNYC Greg has played his cards right, he's living in Brooklyn Heights and riding a top-of-the-line e-bike.

There's nothing I like more than seeing Greg navigate the streets of NY on a bicycle

Wow. Incredible writing. Very interesting, but sad. Has podcasting reached its peak...I'm starting to think it has. During the pandemic everyone was tuning in and Clubhouse had a long waiting list. Now it all seems so silly. The honeymoon is over and we all have to downsize in order to survive.

I hear you — though, I think there are other forces at work at WNYC besides podcasting reaching its peak...

WNYC lost its way a longtime ago. I used to be a dedicated listener, but now only listen selectively. The quality of their programs have greatly deteriorated. I still listen to 1A and On Point, which don't even originate with WNYC, and I usually hear them elsewhere.

Hosts' salaries are also bloated, which is another reason I no longer contribute to their endless fund raisers. WNYC has become too big and trivial for its own good.
